Weekends are usually the days when we finally have the chance to respire—breathe from the usual chaos we encountered every day and when I said every day, those are the days when we forced ourselves to attend school, works, and usual errands.
But when Covid came, the “Finally, it’s Friday!” was not that exciting anymore–it’s the other way round.
We grew up feeling the magic of weekends. It’s the time when we experience great pleasure sleeping all day, binge-watch our most awaited Netflix Series, help mom with the laundry, finish the last chapter of the books left on read, spend time with family, and of course, beach and road trips escaped.
This time, weekends are just another day of sleepless nights, lots of caffeine, and of course, chasing deadlines. Saturday and Sunday became part of the usual weekdays of hustles.
But this scenario made us realized the importance of scheduling and self and time management. Setting goals every week is a great way to cope up with the circumstance which the days of the week give us.
Everything is about discipline. With proper avoidance from distractions, your weekends will be yours again.
